The 19-year-old will be making his GP2 debut in the French race, having competed in the International Formula Master this season and in the World Series by Renault for the past three years.
The team tested with just one car for Andy Soucek at Paul Ricard last week, but the Spaniard secured a drive for the rest of the season with Super Nova.
BCN also ran one car, for Adrian Valles, in the last race in Monaco, and it is unclear if the Spaniard will be in action at Magny-Cours.
